Handling the image (2021)Handling the image is a single-edition book, documenting the attempt to comprehend the photographic imagery (taken from the book «Preserving Memory: The Struggle to Create America’s Holocaust Museum») through physical interaction with its surface, using clay, latex, and gypsum.
The process of grasping the image is inspired by Heidi Bucher and the technique of “skinning”, which she has used in working with latex.
